Social Ventures Hong Kong
Social Ventures Hong Kong (SVhk, www.sv-hk.org) is a venture philanthropic organization dedicated to
supporting and nurturing social innovation in Hong Kong. Its flagship projects include Diamond Cab,
Dialogue in the Dark (HK), Green Monday and Concert in the Dark. Established since 2007, SVhk has been
providing financial and non-financial support to social purpose organizations and social enterprises by
actively engaging young professionals. SVhk has also founded the Sonova Institute to promote the culture
of social innovation through creating steady flows of social initiatives and interests.
Social Enterprise Summit
Social Enterprise Summit (SES) is the flagship international conference on social entrepreneurship and social innovation in Hong Kong. First launched in 2008 and has been organised by the Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum Limited (HKSEF) since 2014, SES invites organisations and representatives every year from the civil society, the business sector, the government and the academia to co-organise an array of community activities leading to the flagship International Symposium. SES has emerged as a major cross-sector platform in promoting innovative entrepreneurship for social change. It also bridges the community with the government and is a well-recognised international forum for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
Make a Difference
Founded in 2009, MaD (Make a Difference) inspires and empowers young people all over Asia to come up
with creative responses to our time’s challenges. It has evolved as a collaborative platform of creative
changemakers that works at the intersection of creativity, entrepreneurship, innovation and discovery to
bring about positive changes in Asia.
Formerly an anchor project of the Hong Kong Institute of Contemporary Culture, since 2014 MaD is steered
by the Make A Difference Institute*, a Hong Kong-based non-profit community-initiated organization
dedicated to nurturing a creative civil society. The Institute is governed by a voluntary Board of
Directors from diverse disciplines: arts and culture, social innovation, education and business.
MaD’s multifaceted portfolio includes the annual MaD Forum, a celebrated regional event for aspiring
Asian changemakers, and year-round creative initiatives including the Jockey Club Make a Difference
School, MaD x Good Lab, urban pioneering projects and regional exchanges. MaD supports the growth of a
vibrant creative ecology, and values cross-sector synergy and co-creation opportunities, empathetic
collaboration and sustainable practices.

Hong Kong Social Enterpreneurship Forum
Founded in March 2008, Hong Kong Social Entrepreneurship Forum (HKSEF) is a membership-based
organization with the Mission to create and sustain a civic movement of social entrepreneurship. Our
Vision: a dynamic citizen sector capable of effecting positive social change. An ever-growing number of
social entrepreneurs will constitute a major force in the citizen sector to make positive social change
happen. Though not everyone could become a social entrepreneur, everyone could play a part in supporting
the social entrepreneurship movement.
Dialogue in the Dark
Dialogue Experience dedicates to engage people of differences to create social impact! By providing
innovative Impactaintment (Entertainment with impact) and transformation training experiences through
DARK and SILENCE platforms, it brings new perspective of social inclusion, diversity and equality to
general public, corporate, tourism and education sectors of the community.
As a leading social enterprise brand and a must-see experiential experience in Hong Kong, Dialogue

Education For Good Community Interest Company Limited (EFG)
Education For Good Community Interest Company Limited (EFG) is to spearhead innovative, scalable
educational and training programs contributing to the development of social entrepreneurship and social
innovation. It is founded and chaired by Dr. KK Tse, Vice Chairman of HKSEF and Mrs. Rebecca Yung,
Vice-President of Hong Kong Women Professionals and Entrepreneurs Association.
Founded in April 2013, SOW is the first solution journalism practice in Hong Kong. It has both a live TV
room inside a revamped truck and a website where livestreaming of the programme could be accessed.
Vincent Wong is the host of the daily show, and he will go to different communities in Hong Kong to
interview people around issues that matter.
